Lungs on the Run
The 3rd Annual Lungs on the Run 5k run/walk and 1 mile walk is June 16, 2012 at 8:30am. Registration is now open!
Despite advances in diagnosing and treating lung cancer, over 1 million people die from the disease every year; more men and women than breast, colon and prostate cancers combined. Over the last two decades, there has been no significant change in mortality rates related to lung cancer. It is time to change that!
Let's come together to celebrate those who have beaten the odds, those who have lost the battle and those who need our support for education, treatment and research. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Cincinnati Cancer Center, a collaborative effort between the University of Cincinnati, UC Health and Cincinnati Children's Hospital. WHAT: 3rd Annual Lungs on the Run 5k run/walk and 1 mile walk
WHEN: June 16, 2012 at 8:30am
-Awards to first male and female finishers
-Awards for top finisher in each race category
-Entry includes t-shirt if registered before 6/6/12
-Post-race refreshments
-Door prizes
WHERE: Race will be held at the West Chester Hospital, 7700 University Dr, West Chester, OH 45069, near the intersection of Cox & Tylersville Rds. The scenic, flat, out and back course starts and finishes at the West Chester Hospital and travels through beautiful Voice of America Park.
RUN CATEGORIES; 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
RACE WALK CATEGORIES: 29-under, 30-44, 45-59, 60+
REGISTRATION: Available online until 11:50pm on 6/13/12. Must be registered by 6/6/12 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Mailed in applications must be postmarked by 6/11/12. Use the form in the menu to the left. Race day registration begins at 6:30am day of race at West Chester Hospital.
ENTRY FEE: $25 pre-reg/$30 race day. (Race day registration includes t-shirt while supplies last.)
