About us
Each of us has been touched by lung cancer: KC Faessler is a 7 year lung cancer survivor who lost her mother and grandfather to the disease. Her son Phil understands the need to find a cure. In the last couple years, Phil's girlfriend, Shannon, lost her father, uncle and cousin to lung cancer. Wanting to support lung cancer awareness and research, we participated in a 5K run/1 mile walk in Atlanta, Georgia in 2008. We found the event so inspiring and motivational that we wanted to create a similar fundraiser here in the Cincinnati area. With your help, last year we had 254 participants and donated $9000 to the Cincinnati Cancer Consortium for Lung Cancer research. We hope to continue to make this an annual event with the goal of raising awareness, promoting education and research, and supporting those who work diligently to find treatments and a cure for this devastating disease.
